About Us

Welcome To The Vishnu Manchu Art Foundation

The Vishnu Manchu Art Foundation began with an encounter that changed its founder’s perspective on art. In 2009, while visiting an art gallery in New York, Vishnu Manchu came across a striking painting of a Hindu God by an artist named Ramesh Gorijala. Intrigued by the work, Vishnu sought out the artist, only to realize that Ramesh hailed from Srikalahasti, a small village near Tirupati, just a short distance from Mohan Babu University, where Vishnu serves as Pro-Chancellor.

This encounter ignited a vision in Vishnu: to bring recognition to extraordinary artists who are often overlooked in their own homeland but appreciated globally. In 2014, this vision became a reality with the formation of VMAF. Today, the foundation is a hub for creative minds, supporting a range of charitable initiatives and academic scholarships that honour the names of artists whose work is sold through the foundation.

Our Mission

VMAF is committed to supporting artists by providing them with a platform to exhibit their work, engage with diverse audiences, and contribute to the cultural fabric of society. We believe that art is not only a medium for self-expression but also a tool for social impact. By integrating art into the academic environment at Mohan Babu University, we foster creativity and intellectual curiosity among students, creating a unique space where learning and art coexist.

Charitable Initiatives

At VMAF, art and charity go hand in hand. A portion of our proceeds from the sale of artwork is used to establish scholarships in the name of the artist, ensuring that their legacy lives on through education. These scholarships support underprivileged students at Mohan Babu University, helping them pursue their dreams while honoring the artist’s contribution to society.

Annual VMAF Art Camp

Each year, VMAF hosts an exclusive art camp in March, just before the Chancellor’s birthday at Mohan Babu University. This camp brings together 30 artists—15 senior legends of the Indian art world and 15 talented upcoming artists. The camp serves as a platform for collaboration, where veterans impart their knowledge, guidance, and inspiration to the younger generation. This unique event fosters creativity, mentorship, and lasting connections, solidifying VMAF’s role as a bridge between generations of artists.
