Vinod Sharma, born in 1952, is a distinguished artist with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Delhi College of Arts and a Master’s degree from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Known for his serene landscapes, Sharma uses subdued colors and thin oils to create a calming effect that invites viewers into a tranquil, reflective space. His focus on texture adds depth to his paintings, enhancing the sensory experience of each piece.
Sharma has held solo exhibitions in cities such as Kochi, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Baroda, and participated in notable group exhibitions, including Arushi Arts at Visual Art Gallery, New Delhi (2001) and Gallery Joie at Shridharani Gallery, New Delhi (2008). He was honored with a Senior Art Fellowship in Painting by the Government of India in 1999 and has received several accolades, including a prize from the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy in 1992 and an award at the All India Graphics Exhibition in Chandigarh in 1984. His latest work, Rock Scape, an oil on canvas from 2021, is currently part of his exhibition with us.
